When do pullets/hens stop growing/reach their full size?

Hello all!

I've got 12 RIR pullets, 3 of which have started laying so far (22 weeks 2 days old). This is my first flock, and I was curious- do they still grow after they begin laying? Or do they stop when they lay? When are they considered hens, not pullets?

Pullets officially become hens at the 1 year mark. I would say, though, that they reach full size at 6 months, when they begin to lay.

They do most of their growing up front and are pretty much full sized by the time they start laying, but will continue filling out slightly until as late as 2 years old.

Depending on who you ask, a pullet is a hen when she starts laying, or at 1 year old. Not sure if there's an official definition?

I go with age....otherwise there wouldn't be 'pullet eggs'.
