In the Brooder
I can't imagine that it is normal and sure hope not! I have 5 Faverolles puppets that are almost 3 months old. I'd love some more input from people who've raised them about when to set up my nesting boxes

Are they hatchery birds or breeder? Hatchery birds start laying sooner, usually 5-6 months.
When you posted this on the Fav thread, I asked how much daylight you were getting. Sometimes my late in the season hatches are also late in beginning to lay. They are from a reputable breeder. I bought eggs and raised them. They have always been healthy happy girls. I got them a mature rooster in his second season. Only thing I can think is I hatched them in August, and that is our winter. So maybe they will start in spring.
