When do silkies start mating?

Hello fellow chicken experts, I have recently purchased 2 silkies one male and one female. Does anyone know when my little roo will start mating? they are both around 1 month old . Thank you

I think silkie pullets don't start laying till around 6 mos. old, cockerels want to breed earlier than that., even if they don't know what they are doing.

I don't have experience with Silkies specifically, but my Dutch bantam cockerels often start trying to mate by around 12 weeks of age.
