I was wondering, is there a certain time of day that the gals lay their eggs? Do they normally lay their eggs in the morning, or is it just random?
  2. It's pretty random. A good hen can lay an egg every 26 to 28 hours. They generally lay between just before dawn to around sunset.

When mine first started it was all day long - now they are usually finished by noon.
