when do they crow?

Well, when I got home yesterday I was out visiting with my girls and one Roo. My cell phone rang and my attention was diverted to talking on the tellie.
All of a sudden my Roo "Cock-a-Doodle-doed !
My Bro. heard it on his end of the tellie too.
It was a very deep, rumbling, proud Cock-a-Doodle-Do.
He did this about 5 more times within 5 minutes and then he stopped.
I was sooo proud of him. Then he chased the hens around for a few minutes.
That's my boy......

I can't wait til mine gives the cock-a-doodle-doo crow instead of somebody murdering a trombone crow.

I have two babies....about 6 days old who look like they are trying to but no sounds comes out at all. It is pretty funny. We can not have roosters though so hopefully they will stay quiet for a while.

my chickies are 11 weeks old and the first one, an EE, just started crowing this morning. in typical fashion, it was my favorite, most beautiful "hen." i'm bummed.... if the other EE decides it's a boy too, i'm going to be in trouble. i love them both, but i can't keep 2 EE cockerals.

My BR cockerel started at 14 weeks. He is now 18 weeks old but still has the juvenile sounding crow unlike my neighbor's 30 weeks old (full grown?) RIR roo.

Fudge, my BLRW, is 4.5 mo old. I'm starting to wonder if he is a he. DD says if he isn't, "then he's the meanest hen ever!"

He is big, though. Does that mean he'll be older when he does crow?
