When do you let momma and chicks back with the flock?

I have 3 moms and 14 baby chicks, they are all moms to the babies. I have them in the coop where they can be seen by all the other chickens. My question is when do you let the roam with al the others? Mine are only a week and a half old but, so I think it is to early. So what is the right age??

I used to put them out after about a week, but they were free-ranging all day so they had plenty of space to do their own thing.

Our hen and her chicks were kept seperate, she was at the bottom of the pecking order and i didn't want the other hens to hurt the chicks. When she decided she wanted to go back in with the other hens (the chicks were about nine weeks old) i put her back in and the chicks stayed together seperate, but i've heard you can successfully integrate mum & chicks and she will look after them

I just went out to check the chicks and feed and water them. Man one of the mama hens is so mean she would peck me to death, all I was trying to do was get feeder and she came running to bite me. I think she could keep the babies safe. I may put them out this weekend, I am not sure.
