When I get my 'bator.....

Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :

I'm going to prove him wrong, though. I don't want to sleep in the coop with the chickens this winter...

You may be right... I have silkies... they have stolen my soul.

Yup, they will do that. Day 20 today on 16 more... I keep trying to open the bator
but evertime I get close my head starts to hurt. The little evil ones planted a
subliminal suggestion. They are like using me as some kinda slave.

There were 2 more fertile silkie eggs in the coop this morning.

Oh, and my golden Cortunix have mind control abilities. They're evil too.

2 of my Little Giants are at friends house spreading the disease and my other
two are going tomorrow. Perfectly_Polish is going to use my Brinsea to hatch
your eggs. We are so excited.

Yea, I am reading it all rightl...and my head is swimming!

Order smorder....going to TSC to get the second 'bator on payday!

How many silkie eggs fit in an LG again?!

Tori, those girls still laying???????? Oh and I agree

You better not leave me as the only one hatching over the winter, insisting to hubby that each and every hatch is a necessary one!

We dipped to 33°F this morning... Winter is nigh upon us.

This will have to be my last hatch until 2009, sorry. I have over 250 birds right now, and I need to make room for newbies in the coop. I may have to brood in the garage for a few months... hopefully hubby will be all right with that.

But, that being said, YES, the silkies are still laying. Well, except for Elvis, who has kindly agreed to sit on some of the eggs that wouldn't fit in the incubators. I will not start up a 3rd incubator until it is time to use it as a hatcher. I can't. Last year my February (coldest month) heating bill was over $400... can't afford that. I'm hoping that the extra birds will generate enough body heat that I won't have to supplement too much heat this winter. They're going to have to survive -40F on their own.

Um yea, since you put it that way, I can't argue with that reasoning...darnit!! Ok well, I look forward to being a hatching buddy with you come spring! Better wording for me would have been....please don't leave me alone hatching this winter LOLOL but even at that, can't argue with your winters.

Hubby is going nuts that I have 16 still in the house...lol he keeps saying they need to go outside...um no...

Ok, so silkies are still laying, and how many of those fit in a 'bator?

Um yea, I am thinking 12? or maybe...um...yea I better stick with 12...maybe I can find some BBS Orps to squeeze in there too LOL

I am going to have to go find out how many eggs an LG actually holds.....*off to research*
