When should I expect an egg?

I have an 8 month old modern game bantam hen. Should I be seeing eggs from her soon? Here is a picture of her and my modern game bantam rooster.

You should do like me. Hang on tenterhooks for that thrilling day, peeking in the nest when no one is around. Then freak out like a crazy hen when the great day arrives and send photos of the egg to friends all over the world.

When you lose all hope in her laying only then will you get an egg.

No, but when she start’s reddening in the comb and wattle that is a sign the hormones are flowing and it’ll be soon.

Just a question of time then. One of mine shocked me by giving me her first egg on the 4th of July, right in the middle of winter, when I had resigned myself to having no hope until October. Watch her comb and wattles like a hawk.
