When the men put their foot down...

My husband's breaking point is the checkbook... he says we can't afford it, or that I spend too much money. I remind him that we could afford his motorcycle and he owes me $13,000 worth of chickens and supplies in order to be even!

Will the foot go away??? or up my butt???? That is the question....

DH says no to a Great Dane, my dream dog. Says yes to all the chickens in the world, a goat, and 5 other dogs. He's actually an enabler when it comes to pets because he loves them as much as I do. But, alas no Great Dane. Why? Because he is afraid it will have health problems and a short life span. He says it would be too much to bare.

It works for me.

We know each other well enough that when we are not physically together and a decision needs to be made, we've got a pretty good idea of how the other would feel about it.

The rule for us is generally whoever cares more about a subject is the one that's going to get their way unless it's just totally impossible or unreasonable (He wants a boat, I'm fine with that, we can't afford the one he is drooling over)

I want chickens more than he doesn't want chickens, so we are getting chickens.
He wants to plant 100+ onions in the garden more than I don't want to plant 100+ onions in the garden, so 100+ onions are getting planted.

Right now the baby cares more about being naked than his dad or I care about making him wear clothes, so I guess the kidlet can have his way.

This is how my marriage works also.
