i do not think it is suffering yet when it gets it head up it runs around and plays in the brooder...i have it seperated from the other chicks so tht they won't step on it i just wasn't sure how long if at all it would recover. thank you so much for the tips i will give them a try now )
i had a Silkie with rye neck and it took about 2 months to get him back to good..
i gave him prednisone that you can get from the vet... as he got older Polyvisol vitamins every couple months keeps him " straight headed"

When i got home from work this afternoon this chickie baby had died. He was fine when i left this morning at 10:30 but had passed away sometime between then and 3:00 this afternoon. RIP Chickiebaby!
