My first Chick hatched 24 hours ago. since then the others have been quite spread out and there are still two in there that have pipped but not yet zipped. How long should I wait for the two slower chicks before I go ahead and open the bator to take the others out and give them food and water?

they cn stay in there up to 3 days i have heard, but i never leave mine in longer than 2 days...you really dont want to open it up while others are hatching...

I would wait for the other two to hatch and dry. They can go without food and water for 3 days cause of absorbing the yolk sac. Bet its driving you crazy having to wait huh? Congrats on the new babies!!

Yea, Thanks - I kind of knew they could stay two days - I just needed to hear it again because it IS driving me crazy having to wait

Is it normal for those two to have pipped this morning and 10 hours later - not to have zipped yet?
