Ok guys we just tried to hatch out a new bunch this year. They hatched on the 18th-19th and had a survival rate of 5 out of the 9 (two eggs didn't hatch and two had splayed legs and did not make it).
I'm worried that we are going to get roosters again so I'd like to do another hatch to hopefully get more hens (last year we got 5 roosters and 3 hens).
My question is this, when would you start another hatch if you only had one brooder to raise the chicks in?
