The new gang:)

I'm hoping so. I think she's beautiful all dark. She is only young though. Only just getting her pin feathers.

Oh, and on the egg front, I marked the first one and put it back. There were two more yesterday morning and a fourth this morning.
There's a different gal on the nest they're laying in each morning but nobody is choosing to stay in thier yet during the day.

The black and white girl does. She's the young black girls mumma. I think I'm going to call them Lily(mumma) and Lola.
Not sure what to call the lighter girl. Am I right in thinking she's younger? Doesn't have very defined colours yet so nothing springs to mind.
She seems to be the underdog of the three girls. The other two are bonded and Max (drake) is a dopey fellow. Just does his own thing lol.
Any name suggestions?

Who ever said they would be sterile might have been trying to saythat if a scovy
Crosses with any other breed, the resulting offspring would be a mule(sterile). If the girl you have is indeed a cross then her eggs will not hatch.

No the person was saying that chooks who are hatched artificially for egg production are sterile.
I just assumed that applied to all poultry:-/
She does look more and more full scovy to me but she's not quite right. Walking seems an effort so she just plops down and gets comfy all the time. Never far from her mum.
