When to help? When to worry?

Perhaps he got an infection.. When you expose the yolk, it's like a magnet for a bacteria infection..

Yes he has a crack in his shell. Just not the membrane directly under it. There is about a 1/2cm-3/4 cm hole where he externally pipped, but no hole in the outer membrane.

Honestly, I don't think the second one has been viable for awhile. I'm not too sure though. I candled them the day I stopped turning and it was still kicking. Now I don't see any motion, several air bubbles and a lot more light passing through the egg that I have seen with any of the others. Didn't Saturday or yesterday either. Hasn't moved, made any noise, etc. I think I just have the one.

well make him a safe hole and then smell in the hole, use him as your practice egg on making safe holes, so if he is gone not all lost because he's helping you out,,

I'm kind of feeling inclined to let him do his thing. I'm just really scared of messing too much like I did the last ones. He's my last baby. I'm scared looking at him the wrong way will kill him.
