When to move chicks to coop- in Michigan

Where in Michigan do you live? We live in Grand Rapids and raised our birds in the garage. I would recommend raising them in the coop. Our garage gets too hot in the summer and we have to run a window ac unit. Just raise em in the coop until they are 3-4 weeks old and are feathering our nicely. Let them out for a bit and back in the coop with a heat lamp for the night. Hope this helps!
We live on the east side of michigan, over by the saginaw bay. Is 65-70 degrees too cold to let them roam about the yard for a short period during the day? We are going to get them in the coop as soon as we can.. its almost ready for them.. few more days!

I would say yes at such a young age. I would keep them in a coop with the lamp until at least 4 weeks and then let them out short bits at a time. If we get back up above 80 degrees I would think that you would be fine to let them out for a bit. Are you free ranging or do you have an enclosed run?

Just keep them in the garage til the coop is done

I built this box out of one sheet of 1/4 inch plywood to brood chicks in.
I from the Central, MI area. I would let you barrow it but Saginaw is about 1-1.5 away from me
