I’ve now quit the ACV and the grit.

Oh I would leave the grit Just put it in the brooder in a separate container, they will take what they need. Or what they like to do is spill it, scratch it around and make a mess, but they will pick through and still take what they want.

I've never added ACV to water for Chicks or Adults
With my last batch of day old Chicks, I added Poultry Nutri-Drench mixed in water for 10 days, according to directions on bottle.
I keep a bottle handy in case of illness or injury, but never needed in 3 years of Poultry keeping.
Happy birthday to my Golden Comets. 3 years old yesterday. .

As far as Chick Grit. I mix in Chick feed, in a ratio of 1 to 40. 2 ounces Grit to 5 pounds of Feed. Beginning at 2 weeks.
No worries about over indulging.
I offer Poultry Grit in a separate container at 7 weeks of age. . GC
