When will Broody Lay Again?

I have a hen who raised her chicks for five weeks, then went back to the big chicken coop. She started laying two days later. After five eggs, she went broody again, and we "broke" her by putting her in the pet carrier for two days. She's been back in the big chicken coop now for maybe ten days -- isn't it time she starts laying again?

It usually takes 1-2 weeks before they start again. (so sorry for such a late answer!)

Thanks, she did finally start again, but now it seems like since we went on vacation, we're only getting one egg a day -- and we have five hens! Maybe it's too hot...

It's also molting season so that slows down egg laying a LOT! Both heat and molting slow laying down.

Good to know, because we are still having zero to one egg a day from the five!
