I have two 1 year old hens that have been together since day one. We recently got 2 new girls (about 4 months old) that were introduced about 5 weeks ago. My wyandotte has always been sensitive and stops laying at the drop of a hat. But she hasn't laid for a solid 5 weeks. She's not molting, has no symptoms of anything, and her comb and wattles are still bright red. I was just wondering how long it normally takes for them to start to laying again after something this stressful. Oh, and I also checked to see if maybe she was hiding her eggs and there are none hidden. Bonus pic of Winnie, she's on the right :)

It can take a while for them to regather themselves after new members are added, she likely will start to lay here soon.Do the hens squat for you?

That’s a big indicator that's she either gonna begin soon, or is.Is your large yard, is it possible she’s laying elsewhere?Did she just start quating, was there a period where she stopped squatting and starting back?

She's been squatting this whole time for me. I do have a large yard but I'm fairly certain I've checked everywhere she can lay. I have 3 nesting boxes and 4 chickens, do you think maybe she would like it if I added another nesting box?

As you know chickens hate change. Going on physical looks , hormonal levels appear to be high. I'm guessing you will start getting eggs again shortly.
That's such a relief! I miss seeing her cute pink eggs lol. I was just worried because it's been so long and wasn't sure how long was too long for her to go without laying. Thank you :)
