She did the same thing yesterday and just disappeared, so I’m gonna hope for the best and see what happens tomorrow.She may have found a different spot to have her pups.. hopefully if that's so you can find them! You tried your best with your own little spot but she may have thought another place was better. Hopefully that's not the case but it is possible
Well it would be a good idea so she can’t run off and have her puppies somewhere OP can’t find her. The owners don’t care about their dogs so it’s unlikely they would care.

and It's not like I don't want to help the dog but I don't want anyone to break the law/end up in jail doing it
If the dog is really having babies she'll probably stay in that room If she feels that it is a safe place to have her puppies so you should probably just work on making the place more comfy
I agree. I don’t really know what to do. The dog is not going to stay in there by herself. But if she’s running around lose all day she could easily find another place to have her puppies. Anyone have an idea what to do?
That’s not what I mean. The dog runs lose all day so when she goes into labor she won’t know to come back to the hay room, she will find somewhere else to give birth. Obviously she’s not going to go anywhere while it’s happening, we just need to make sure it isn’t anywhere other than the hay room
