I'm another person who's been following, liking, loving, etc. other posts but not posting until now.
To the people who are advising the OP to "REPORT!!!" keep in mind the OP lives in middle-of-nowhere Florida, where many shelters routinely euthanize dogs after 7 days, "Animal Control" is more about protecting property from stray animals than it is about protecting animals from neglect or cruelty, and "animal cruelty laws" are barely enforced - animal abuse has to be egregiously cruel and disgusting to even get a fine or wrist-slap for the perpetrator.
And please recognize I'm not trying to cut down Florida, because similar animal neglect and abuse, coupled with local authorities turning a blind eye, while abusive neighbors throw around curses and threats to caring people and get away with it, happens way too often in my mostly animal-loving state, as well as in every state in our country.
This OP is trying to stay safe themselves, while trying to not draw attention to themselves to attract family or neighbor trouble, not to mention as a minor who's not yet old enough to drive, all the while doing the best they can for this poor sweet, young, beloved, momma dog.
What a hard row to hoe! Especially for such a young person. OP, you have so much respect from me for what you are trying to do, no matter how it turns out. You are an animal star.
OP, I hope you will find those puppies, get Momma Dog to bring them to the safe haven you've provided, and avoid any communication with the Stick-beating, pregnancy-denying, inbreeding-promoting careless, abusive neighbors.
People like these jerks usually don't give a crap what happens to their dogs, even if they get run over. Your best bet is to keep quiet, say you know nothing, and encourage them to think Momma Dog probably ran away and got hit by a car. And you keep the puppies secret.
Then take time researching good rescues from the web, and put Momma and pups online. Such a sweet dog. No matter if you succeed or fail right now with these specific dogs, you are worthy of so much respect.
