When people ask for my prayers I give them support: bring them food, call to check on them, wash the dishes, walk the dog, shampoo the carpet, or just sit down with them and shed tears as they share their woes. One must remember when someone asks for your prayers they are really saying, "Please don't forget about me or my loved ones".
All they really want is a true friend who will somehow help them in their time of need. You never know....your actions might be the answer to their prayers. You don't have to believe in God to know how to help a friend. Just be a friend.
"I'll help you any way I can," is usually how I answer a request for prayers.
