usually around 5 to 7 months old. the older the less of a chance of laying problems later. Don't start feeding layer till closer to laying.

Mine almost always laid right at the 6 months mark

17-24 is the range for lightweight laying breeds, according to Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks. 20-22 weeks is ideal.
