I am a SAHM of one sweet little girl and another due in July

This is my dream job, to be with my babies. I love it!

umm... I stay home, and I mom. (Is mom a verb? It should be. It's an action word, that's for sure!)

We are self employed and I home school, so we were always together until the economic down turn. Now the husband has a couple other jobs and we are still trying to keep our business going, but I stay home because the husband has the car...or I'd be at the nursery working, and teaching. I am glad I had this opportunity to spend so much time with my child and husband. I see sad times ahead when he heads off to high school.
He has some virtual classes now and they are great, but...doesn't everyone deserve that high school experience?

Well, I'm only a stay-at-home wife; do I count? It gets mighty lonely at times, especially living in such a rural area.

i was a sahm and now i am a sahgm=stay at home grandma.. never would have changed it for the world .. we were broke most of the time but it didn't matter we spent the time together.. we are still very close.. daughter is sahm and we get together all the time with the grandkids

I'm not sure I constitute as being one because I'm also the ranch hand, tractor driver, fence fixer, cow checker, calf puller, firefighter, and all around extra set of hands.

Yes, my job is hard, because not only do I do all of that at home taking care of my home and family as a single parent for almost 18 years, I also work full time as a teacher taking care of 28 other children who sometimes see me as the only caring adult in their lives.
Now, depending on how you look at it, I'd say we are both pretty darn lucky with what we have and it should not be a competition as to whose job is harder.

i cant even imagine working and taking care of the home...at home, you can sit down when you want, you cant get fired..you set your own deadlines..you can take a sick day..turn the phone off..you dont even have to get dressed! i think the difficulty of staying home is greatly exaggerated. even with all my kids at home at the same time, it is still easier than getting up and dealing with the public on a daily basis..i have had part time jobs here and there and it was a totally different story, thats for sure!
