where can I find decent chicken wire??

I don't think anything short of 1" square or even 1/2" square welded galvanized wire is going to work in my area, considering the plethora of predators around. But I've priced the new stuff and I'm stunned. I'm going to ask all the ranchers I know if they have any used stuff, but generally no one gets rid of good welded wire. I would sure appreciate any suggestions. At the prices I'm seeing it would be cheaper to hire an armed guard. [grin]

Try Farm and Family - and - Tractor Supply Co. I found deals there.

My last trip to Home Depot uncovered a very small mesh chicken wire - not as strong as hardware cloth - but not so expensive either.

You asked the identical question I have. I need 200 feet plus of 5 or 6 feet chicken wire. Saw something like that at Coastal in Hillsboro but have to check it out again. let me know if you had any luck. Thanks, Rene'
