I would like to get a really good candling light that is bright enough to do the darker eggs like quail too. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Thank you!

You could try calling your county extension office and see if they have a candler you could borrow. Or just use an LED flashlight. They aren't that expensive and the LEDs are really bright.

Find an inexpensive but high intensity small LED flashlight at one of the home centers like home depot. Go to the plumbing section and find a pvc or black plastic straight connector that is a fit or just a little larger than the light end of the flashlight. Most of the time the fitting will be loose. Just put a few wraps of tape around the bussiness end of the light to make it a little wider. Eventually the fitting will slide on and fit moderately snug. Viola a good candler usually for under $10. PS can also be used as a flashlight between eggventures.
