Okay...gave the order to the bf to build me a broody jail. Do I keep the jail (with Miss Bashful in it) inside the run with the other chickens?

Broodiness is the most contagious disease in the coop!

The first few are fun. Now I only let them keep about 5 eggs and hope a couple are clear. I just had 2 pullets sitting together, hatched 2. Another hen hatched 3, and a threesome of pullets hatched 2. I got chicks everywhere. Plus 9 ducklings that Lexi just hatched a couple weeks ago, and another duo of ducklings that I kept from an incubation last month.

And 3 hens still on eggs.

One of my Royal Palm hens is trying to go broody... Her and her sisters go to the hotel suite tomorrow. At least she'll be more receptive than my Bourbon Red hen. Who is totally ignoring her Tom's advances. I've got nari's and blacks trying to figure out how to get into the hotel suite. I told them they had to wait their turn.

Just one...and it's huge (for my chocolate lab). Way too big...

hang in upside down chicken wire over it so the air can go under her skirts
might see if you can get a smaller one it has to be suspended for a few days after a few days see if she is broke or hang her back up

It doesn't necessarily need to be suspended. When I make a broody breaker, I set a brick under each corner to he it a couple inches up off the ground. Still works just as good.
