Chicken math???
Chicken math???
Oh, you'll find out...one day you're like "I've got these fine 5 hens!" one month later and you're like "how did I get all these chickens?!?"![]()
Chicken math is a real thing. In my case I am looking at doing both addition and subtraction in my flock. I currently have 6 juvenile roosters to my 2 hens in my flock(one roo I think is still quite hard to call if it is roo or hen). Now visualize the mahem my gals will facing during mating season and imagine all the first aid I will need to perform on my males as they fight over the gals. That is why I will have to perform the chicken math of subtraction. Should you ever choose to get a roster and breed them to your current flock you might get 75% of one sex over the other. My addition was regarding the Guineas I want to add.Chicken math???
Fun fact in case you don't already know and were afraid to ask....
Chickens don't have any teeth!
They can pinch with their beaks but it's just a pinch-not an emergency room visit.
Two friends with brooms may help with hearding them in the direction of a corner. (Also great for video props)
Also no one has actually said it yet so I'm "going there"
Don't wear your Sunday best!
Wear sneakers and old clothes because there WILL in all probability, be chicken poop involved in the wrangling effort!
Well...if I were yanked from my bed while in a sleep-stupor...I'd probably poop a little too.![]()
