I would ask around first and make sure. But you could catch them by following where they roost at night and taking them or setting up a pen and throwing food in it and closing it behind them. I hope other BYC members can help!![]()
They do look like someone's backyard flock just took a vacation, haha, I once found mine at the local primary. I think you should just take them in then. They look like cross breeds to me
It's not a safe environment for them here at work. My coworkers and I thought maybe someone dumped them off. I will give them a safe home. If someone comes to my work inquiring about their lost chickens, I'll return them. But they have been living here for 3 weeks...
Congrats on a lovely small flock! Do you have a decent size dog crate? or can you borrow one? If so, place a dish of water and some tasty treats inside, hoping to lure them in. Might be easier than trying to climb up to where they are roosting <G>. Chickens aren't hard to learn about. You are off to a good start and there's a lot of help, information and support here.
