guess it startled me :weeouter space is scary right:th

We maybe do not get as cold as you guys because I use plain old 5 gallon buckets and lids I covet them here we get a bucket I make these water tanks :frow
It's not cold here for LONG but when it's cold it's COLD. We have 100 gallon water tubs for the horses and during the cold snaps it will freeze the top 4-6 inches solid in less than 24 hours. If you splash water on the ground you can watch it freeze... I know a little 1-2 gallon waterer wouldn't stand a chance...

Same here. The rubber bowls really are the best. You can throw them as hard as you want to get the ice out and they won't break.

When it gets really cold around here, and I take my dogzzzz out. They create yellow stalagmites.:gig:lau

Was taught very yhoung do not eat the yellow snow :frow:lau

all my water is inside the coop  but then no other critters here beyond cays and dogs

Don't get what that has to do with keeping it in the coop. Unless you mean it stays warm enough where you are for it to not freeze?

Or maybe I just shouldn't have skipped coffee today. :wee

Richard bought me the mug that is a prescription for caffeine.... guess so I have aquarium heaters in my buckets I can plug in if does get that cold but rarely does for more than a week here

Ooh, lucky you. Usually about the middle of February I consider moving south... Minnesota, maybe. Their weather is nice.
