Where did they come from???

Pics
I'm finding that there are many beautiful chickens that don't look like chickens at all. Lol. Those puffy head and puffy feet critters are too cute...Silkies? They look like some mythical creature from Narnia...lol

Do you have a pic of yours with the sun hitting their feathers? I bet that is a stunning sight to see...
Oh for sure since today we are all having a play date! I'll go makem follow me into the sun, mine are just 4 months old and I am forcing them off of food today so they will follow me anywhere! Silkies do look like cuties I agree. Here are a couple of pictures I grabbed for you :old:D they weren't the best models as I had a lens on with a 4.5 foot standoff requirement, and these guys stick to me like glue outdoors!

I have no idea what my King is...but he's just beautiful. I love his colors too. I keep telling him he's too pretty to be a boy. He coos at me. Probably cussing me...
Gateway livestock! Now time to start doing something real crazy like start checking out what kind of chicken you want to add in the spring!

Wow! Look at that color sheen! Gosh, they're pretty. :)

bag them and put them under cover... Your kids will make short work of each addition.
I dumped 4 loads like this into the run...the leaves from just in front of the garage doors....the remaining 10 piles are from just a small area between the back of garage and pavilion... Each pile will be 2 loads in the trailer. The rest of the yard...pfft...they can blow away. Lol

I have empty 50 gal drums from rain water collection...I was thinking of squishing them down in those....
ha I go to town on garbage day and fill the back of the truck w/bags of leaves... stuff the coops full, stash a truck load under a lean to and under tarp w/ weights... take a few bags into the basement for deep snow when I can't get to a stash.

Well these are just juveniles still, but they will be super as adults when everyone has grown in all of their plumage, tail, saddle ect. and for Spring time planning my wife just told me we will see if we get some show quality stock or not. :barnie I definately wish I had your compostables. I'm going to have to figure something out for more of that stuff! The pile I gave em was full of soldierfly larvae, worms no roaches or beetles this time but the flock sure enjoyed em!

If I actually bagged all my leaves I'd have to build another garage to store them all! Lol. If I started raking now...I might...maybe...be finished by Valentine's Day. I'm NOT that ambitious...that whole bagging of leaves sucks. I used to just wait for the wind to kick up then take the leaf blower out and send them up into the air current...and it was just the leaves in front of the garage and pavilion area. Every other area...eh...God putteth there...God taketh away.
