Where did they come from???

Pics
Well being two of them have at least started parading around the top perimeter...maybe I'll see if they take the fateful plunge into the abyss soon, before upsetting the proverbial apple cart once again. Jeesh...they just finished up the 2 corn cob monsters I gave them how long ago...and the flock block monster is still going strong too.

I wasn't going to share this with you, but given the challenges I will... I filled a kiddie pool with sand, sawdust, and dirt for mine to dust bath in... They dug a hole next to the pool and made their own dust bathing area. All I can figure is I didn't do it right.

Ever notice how those craters are always in a place where you are likely to fall in them? I think it's a conspiracy. The CHICKENS are in cahoots with the CATS!!! Why is it that the cat always winds himself around your legs when you're in the middle of a balancing act? Like carrying a heavy pot of boiling pasta to the sink to drain it, or lugging a load of groceries up the stairs???

How did you know? I never mentioned they filled their holes with leaves just to cause me a twisted ankle....

Been there, done that. I tend to keep my eyes on the ground when I'm in the yard. It often saves me some oopsies. However, hubby... not so much. He can be walking across the lawn, and inevitably, he will fall in the hole, or step on the dog turd. How he manages to hit all of the land mines almost 100% of the time is totally mystifying. And how he can then wander through the house with a bomb on the bottom of his shoe without noticing that one shoe is not like the other is truly amazing!!!

I'm more apt to fall in the craters when I'm pushing a wheel barrow.
