Hmmmmm....dust bath is in the run. Food, water, oyster shells and grit are downstairs. The coop is only ever used to sleep and lay eggs. They never hang in it.

the thing is the other hens may add eggs.. or she will take them..... remove unmarked eggs as you find them,... she will leave the unhatched eggs after a day or three to care for the chicks

Okay...so when I get to the amount of what I'd like to hatch...I'm saying a max of 7 (as I have yet to decide on the size Woods I want to build...and the smaller one has a max of 15 birds). I mark those 7 eggs and remove any eggs that appear under her that don't have any markings. When will she stop adding eggs? Or won't she ever stop? lol

I doubt she will sit in the wrong box. The one she is on is the favorite...the center. The others just lay in the north end when she's in the center.

she has quit laying and unless someone adds or she steals... and who knows what a chicken thinks lol
