Try Craig's list. I find plenty around my area.
I would only be interested in homers, but never know what peeps have to offer.
Rollers are not homing grade, so if you purchase one from nearby area,,, not likely to escape back to original loft.
I have read that some pigeon fanciers did cross their rollers with homers,,,, and they would do both.
Perform rolling stunts,,,, and return home from reasonable distances.
Maybe your male pigeon was one of such type,,, or flew around, and got captured by flying raptor.

My suggestion,,,,,,, get more than one pair,,, and don't loft fly them,,, until you have a good amount of young ones on hand. You can then loft fly all of them. The young ones hatched in your loft will stay/return to your loft.. (their home)
