The other night I BBQed some ribs and we tossed the ribs with what little meat was left on it to the chickens in the morning. This is the third or fourth time I've done this and have yet to find what the birds have done with the bones. I suspect they carry them off but I haven't found any in the chicken yard--they certainly don't bury or crack and eat them. One of Life's little mysteries, I guess.

I suspect they eat them, myself. I've given chicken carcasses to my chickens after I removed the human-edible parts - and all I've ever found is the occasional leg bone. The rest - ribs, back, wings, etc - was always completely and totally gone. [IMG]
