Where do you buy bulk quail egg cartons? My son wants to start selling quail eggs to the neighbors. Thanks!

They're so expensive, I know its only 40 cents or so but to add that to the cost...I just dont, we use recycled chicken egg cartons and boxes for larger orders.

What do you charge for your eggs?

I just add the cost of the carton to price of the eggs. Retail, for sales in stores, I charge $5.00 for a pack of 24 eggs or for wholesale sales, $10.00 for a flat of 50 eggs. When you consider the labeling that is required for retail sales it does get a little expensive. Nutritional facts, Keep Refrigerated labels and the carton adds about 75 cents to each 24-pack. Flats only add the cost of the carton as no labeling is required.

I do not do any retail sales, I live in an area where most folks have never heard of or seen quail eggs, and as such the demand is very low.

My wife is Asian and many of her friends like them and also many of the Latinos buy them, but they bring MUCH less in this area.

$8.00 / 50 eggs (infertile) If I were serious I could drive them to Atlanta and double the price, but I have way too much to do.

I've been getting offered 8 dollars a dozen for my eggs. Luckily, my quail started laying today, so before long I can hopefully make a little bit off them.

What?, I'd quit my day job if I could fetch 8 bucks/ dozen.

And when one of my birds broke an egg I'd punch him in the nose...

You guys are lucky. I sell my eggs for 1.5$/20eggs to the stores. They sell them for 2$/20.

Not many people sell them in my area, but we have several culinary schools around here too. I actually have way more requests than I could possibly fill considering I only have five hens to produce eggs.
One person got my name and started it going around apparently. I average an email every two days asking about getting eggs.
