Depends on the breed actually. If you use a site like ebay... check sellers feedback!!!! (notice all the exclamation points?) I sell on there and someone selling the same breed as me has absolutely horrible feedback! Not to mention his listing sounds like one giant lie. (notice the word "giant") - I'm trying to keep it inpersonable, but get my point accross.

What breed would you like? Something common would be better if you bought locally. If you want something a bit more rare, then go online. But please use your head. If it sounds too good to be true... it is.

Here are some online selling lies....

pictures of dark brown eggs - when the whole picture is dark.... they doctored it or didn't use flash on the camera. (again, if you read the comments previous buyers wrote it will usually go something like "eggs weren't as dark as photo suggested")

description of bird breed - beware... no words about what THEIR flock lays, looks like, temperment, ect, ect. and they only tell you about the breed - beware

When they use descriptive words about a breed you have never heard associated with that breed before like "giant" - beware.

All that, and are the pics of their actual birds and/or eggs?
