How do you know it would be best with little or no government? Have you ever lived that way? I think it would be total chaos with millions of people living however they felt like.

Right smack dab in the middle of the Libertarian section.

I think I will further this a little. Anyone familiar with the articles of confederation? That was the form of government we had before they got together and ratified the united states constitution. The federal government had very little power and things were just not right between the thirteen states. Our forefathers knew it wasn't working and had the insight to make a better system up that gave more federal governmental power, giving fairness to all, making us equal. If I remember reading correctly some states actually charged a toll to enter their borders. Just a little food for thought.

But yes I am a Socialist, yet came out as Liberal on the test..
Why? Because I am not for National ID which is key to a proper Socialist system.
Example:
I get pulled over for speeding, I Make $20K a year.. The officer looks at my state ID and sees this and makes my ticket out for $20. Now A superstar hockey player gets pulled over next, that makes 2 million a year, their speeding ticket is $200,000!
Know that is Socialism, and you need a national ID to do it... Yet I do not want one... I never know when we may have another Cheney in power in the US....

So I came out Liberal instead of Socialist.. I still think the test is heavily biased to Conservative/Libertarian results with the way the questions are worded... I bet if one researched the source, they would find the creators are Libertarians who mostly vote conservitive..

I could be a Libertarian, but I fear it just supports Republicans..

Mine turned out pretty much the same as yours, and I agree with your appraisal of the test.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 90%

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 40%

According to your answers, the political group that agrees with you most is...Liberal

ETA I could NEVER be a Libertarian in any sense of the word.

Wouldn't most folks call that a liberal or statist?

Did you take the quiz Joe?

The Quiz

Mahonri, I've no idea if "most folks call that a liberal or statist", but I don't. I call it what it is, Democratic Socialist.
ETA Yes, I took the test after your question. It said "Liberal". See my other reply above.

Actually Yes I have...

But to answer your question history has shown that having a powerful government makes a rich government. Having almost no government make happy people.
Every large government in history has oppressed its people. Not as safe but I will take free over safe any day.

You might think otherwise if you were a woman, or a child, or anyone else who could not survive on might and meanness alone.

In anarchy, it's not just the strong who survive. It's the mean and cruel who survive.

No anarchy for me, thank you very much.

If you Georgians want to try it, let me know how it works out for you.

There's really no such thing as a GOOD government; there are only governments, some better than others, but none "good". I just happen to prefer Democratic Socialism.

ETA:
I am a Democratic Socialist because I do not want an economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo. I prefer a humane social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, and gender and racial equality.
