Where do you microchip a donkey???

According to the OP, the microchip is a requirement for some sort of registration. I didn't chip my horse because i thought she would run off and they could use it to find me.....I used it as an invisible and unarguable form of identification.......in case she was ever stolen or ownership was in question. Did it right before a cross country move. It just made me feel better, ha ha.
 
If it's in the donkey it will be under the skin.

Most equines get the chip in the neck, mine has it there.

The 'cancer from ID chip' is another internet hystrionic. .02% of cats will develop a sarcoid tumor at the site of a vaccine injection. That's the as-usual, highly circuitous route by which the 'cancer and ID chip' thing came to us, thanks once again to the magic of the internet.
