Where do you microchip a donkey???

Ok I understand chipping a horse. Horses like to break out and run free. But a donkey? It's not like they are known for their flight risk.

According to the OP, the microchip is a requirement for some sort of registration. I didn't chip my horse because i thought she would run off and they could use it to find me.....I used it as an invisible and unarguable form of identification.......in case she was ever stolen or ownership was in question. Did it right before a cross country move. It just made me feel better, ha ha.

If it's in the donkey it will be under the skin.

Most equines get the chip in the neck, mine has it there.

there has been some concern about microchipping animals lately, apparently the chips are causing cancer where the chip is at....i have the info saved somewhere i think and will post it if i can find it....

They also say in the article that even though it has shown to happen to animals it may not be the same in humans...which sounds like humans are not animals...so are we plant or minerals?
