Where would you order from?

I usually just make my own at home but I don’t mind stopping by other places every now and then.

I rarely if ever can afford to 'go out for coffee'. Usually I go for a local drive thru type place. Brooks and Terry's, Java Crew, ECT. My mother in law and mom like Dutch Bros. And Starbucks (I'm not a Starbucks drinker, usually). To go out and sit with my husband we usually go to Roth's, the grocery store near us with tables to sit and a food counter area. If with my dad, Stardusters, a breakfast joint on the edge of the airport runway in Independence OR.

I don't think of myself as a snob but I guess the reality is... I probably am. I started drinking coffee at around 7 yrs old, once a week my dad would make me a cup with cream and sugar at the local bank (thanks dad!) as we weren't allowed soda and that was one of the "special" beverages I could have.

Nowadays I avoid "office coffee," cheap diner coffee, etc. like the plague - makes me sick. I prefer flavored drinks when I'm out and about, otherwise what's the point in paying like $7 for a drink? We have a few local coffee chains that are excellent (the state lives up to its reputation of being a coffee hot spot), as well as some restaurants and bakeries.

At home I grind and French press, and I regularly try new beans in a search of that elusive perfect bean. I used to flavor my homemade coffee (we had a whole syrup bar going) but now it's strictly oatmilk or hemp milk + sugar or honey, I think that brings out the coffee flavor the most.

I've obviously overthought this too much - then again I just had a delicious cup and a half of mmm French pressed Theo blend with oatmilk and honey.
