Where have y'all seen an unexpected chicken?

I have two stories, the first odd place I have seen a chicken was on the north shore of Kauai, Hawaii. It may not seem odd at first, but if you picture what would other wise be a picture perfect postcard beach with lounge chairs, a hammock, tourists, and fuzzy butts running around you might see the oddity of it.

They are completely wild too and will randomly follow people around waiting to be fed. I remember one time my father was standing in line at the shaved ice shack with probably three or four people ahead of him and three chickens standing just behind him making it look like they were all waiting together; then this older gentleman walked up looked at me with a humored look and said, "I guess this is wear the end of the line is?" and took his place behind the chickens!

Then two summers ago in Denver, I saw someone with a pet chicken in PetSmart. It was in a ladies purse. It seemed pretty content where it was, but I remember wondering how long it would stay there or if it ever jumps out when the lady isn't looking.

A couple of years ago three game/Hamburg cross hens showed up in the area of a local STS car service center. They spent the summer there foraging along the highway and being fed by concerned individuals

. I discovered where they were roosting and decided to 'nab' them as winter approached - someone beat me to it.

LOL. Wow haha.

That sort of reminds me, my friend calls my hen KFC >___>

There are a lot of city chickens around here, they look like OEG and I see others every morning on my commute. Some gorgeous birds that are feral now too.

Just the other day, I was feeding my hens some of our left-overs, and it suddenly struck me......I was giving them fried potato wedges.....from a KFC take-out box. I sure hope they can't read.

I saw a cockeral and a few hens on the side on the moterway in Germany, dont' they notice cars whizzing past them at 100mph? They are brave chickens!

Maui, Hawaii. We drove the road to Hana stopped at a picnic spot and to our surprise there were a few roosters and a stray cat playing in the brush along the picnic tables. I never knew there were wild chickens in Hawaii. It was real neat to see.

The road to Hana! I loved that trip! When we were there on our honeymoon, (twenty-eight years ago), we saw a hand painted sign that said, "Baby Pig Crossing." We stopped and waited, but they didn't come.

So I had to settle for just taking a picture of the sign.
