Where/how do you store your feed?

Mine's in the garage in a plastic bin but the mice can get to it in the winter, and squirrels/chipmunks in the summer. Thinking of getting metal trash bins but leaving outside by the coop. Bad idea?
I keep mine in galvanized metal garbage cans, which (so far) have not been broken into. Be careful that the garbage can lid doesn't have holes around the handle because water does get in. Silicon does work for plugging if you can't find a lid where the handle is welded to the outside.

A metal trash can is what works here. Since the handle on the lid will leak if outside i siliconed it shut. I leave mine in the open in my run in case i spot a wandering coyote or migrating hawks. Ratlle the can and the rooster calls them in. Rodents eat through everything else here.

Our feeders are plastic garbage cans with pvc pipes in them we just uncover/ cover them everyday. Works good!

I use metal cans but keep them in the garage and put feed in little cup sized bowls so I know how much has been eaten - our hen house is totally enclosed (and rat safe) and I let them out into their day pen every morning and they put themselves to bed - I then lock them up. We have too many bears, rats, coyotes, raccoons, a cougar etc to leave food out - my cat is not allowed outside but loves the garage and will catch anything that would come inside. Our worst enemy has been hawks - so the girls no longer get to come out unless they are with me in the gardenbut they have a huge daypen. I even have to bring in feeders for the birds at night as the voles are busy.

We store a 50 pound bag of feed in two 5 gallon buckets in the house (cellar). We record when we add a bag of feed to the buckets. We make sure to not add a new bag until the last bag has been used. The feed is taken to the coop in a one gallon pitcher. At the same time a pitcher of water is added to the water bucket.

What do you guys who live in very humid climates do? I live in LA and I'm going through a bag every two weeks right now. I need to get more at a time but I worry about it going bad with the crazy rain we get.
I want to do a big can with pvc like shown, but I worry it'll mold. :/
