Where/how do you store your feed?

Mine's in the garage in a plastic bin but the mice can get to it in the winter, and squirrels/chipmunks in the summer. Thinking of getting metal trash bins but leaving outside by the coop. Bad idea?

I keep all my feed and chicken supplies in a deck box near the coop.

I keep mine in the house in the original bag, near the back door. I keep a large coffee can in each coop, (holds nearly 4 pounds of crumbles. I only have 7 chickens. GC

Mine's in the house, in a non insulated sunroom/porch. I have it set in a plastic tub just in case the cats spill their water that's out there too.

I have buckets with Gamma lids and keep mine stacked in my sewing room.

I use a tin garbage can. I put it in the garage, really handy when you have 2 hungry muscovies and they start eating it from the bag.

They look like this, the store I go to sells them for about $5-10 at most

I use a large tin garbage can. I keep the bag of feed in it instead of dumping the feed directly in because cleaning is easier

I also have a garbage bin with lid (plastic) it’s stored under my deck (backyard ducks).

I use galvanized bins like above but keep it in the garage. Your profile says Berkshires... So you also need to think about black bear of you leave it outside.

I use those as well but only trust the Beheren's brand I get from TSC to keep the mice and rats out. Mine is stored outside if I brought feed in to the house the dogs would rip open the bags and make a mess while we sleep. I keep it out of rain prone areas as Behern's lids will let in bits of water so mine are under my large patio deck and carport.
