where is all the dist coming from??

I have 10 chicks in a playpen ... my problem is that I don't have an outdoor building accept for my coop for my girls, and the room is limited....hmm I do think I need ot figure something out to get the older one out since they are causing the most dust and I think I will switch to pellets instead of shavings in the future.... If I separate them eventually they will all be in a stage I need to keep them together until they are big enough to join the rest of the flock. hhmmm... The gears are turning!!

this is our second year brooding chicks, last year we didn't have any problems, but this year 2wks after we got the chicks both dh and I started feeling horrible.
colds, swollen throats, felt like our ear tubes were swollen and blocked up.
2 days after deciding to move the chicks outside and giving the house a through cleaning and changing all the filters in the house, we are suddenly feeling much better.

Chicken dust, fluff dust, LOL, is amazing schtuff. It will float up and coat the rafters in my coop. It covers the vents in the gables. It is so fine that water will bead up on it.
