Where should I take them?

whenever I take my chicks outside I wonder if I should take them to a grassy area or a more sandy one. I was just wondering which type is better of if I should do both.

I go for grassy... more bugs and interesting things to investigate plus maybe a little nutrition.

Sand can be fun... do both.

If both are available, I would take them to an area that has both. They can pick at the grass and the bugs that hide there and dig in the sandier area.

They will like both, the grass to roam in and the sand to dust bathe in.
