I got my chicks this past may at a feed store. I would like to get a few more chickens but they don't sell them till February or March. Also, I was wanting to get some grown hens. Where do I go to purchase chickens? Thanks

We got the sweetest little bantams (one in avatar) from Craigslist - both were laying. Definitely worth the look. And if you have any feed stores nearby as Peckadoodle said, they often sell some there too.

Oh, it is warm enough in Florida for your feed stores to have chicks. Call all of them to ask...they sometimes have both babies and grown chickens. I found my new ones at a store that I don't often visit.

You could do a search on Craigslist, or the internet, or your state thread for a "poultry swap" and see if there is one near you in the next month. Or a poultry show. Even if you don't find what you want there, you can meet different breeders that are local to you. If you are just looking for backyard birds and not show birds there may be breeders with adults that don't meet breed/show standards that they would be happy to sell and pass on to you. Good luck!
