Where to buy

Hi everyone!
I am expecting 25 new babies in May. I am so excited I can hardly stand it . I am wondering though, if anyone knows of a place to get
silkie chickens for relatively inexpensive? I wasn't able to get them and my 8 year old has fallen head over heels for these little fluffballs. I ordered our BO's and Gold Starts from Hoovers Hatchery. They don't have silkies.

ideal hatchery is a good place that allows you to just buy a few not 25 so it is a good place to start

we had a great experience with My Pet Chicken and check your local craigslist

sometimes ive found some on there too

You could check the buy~sell~auction section of this forum, too. Maybe you could get some locally, if you are just looking for a few. You might be able to split an order with someone, too. Maybe try the thread on this forum, for your state. They're in the "where am I, where are you" section or something like that.

You could also try your local craigslist or feed stores, too.
