hey y'all! not sure if this is the best section to post this under but oh well. i have a broody black australorp with a few eggs under her at the moment. shes a really great mother and last time she hatched 15 babies, all successful! i thought that was amazing. anyway, but shes a very good mother and is willing to adopt. i want some more polish this year but im not sure where to find them. my broody started sitting today so ive got like 3 weeks but i just have no idea where to find polish chicks. i know i could check tractor supply or agway but they are kind of unpredictable. does anyone know of anywhere in NH to find polish chicks??

thank you!

I think finding a local breeder maybe hard, but perhaps at the farmer's market in your area?

I bought from a local breeder. None of the birds we bought were diseased. I did get to go see the birds and the others they were with before I bought them. We have been friends for almost three years now. I don't buy off of craigslist because of diseases. I would look into what you need to do to quarantine baby birds and things like that. It might be dangerous for your flock to introduce some without it.

Another thought which wouldn't work this time is to incubate your own eggs and buy polish hatching eggs.

I'm not finding any NPIP NH hatcheries that sell Polish chicks.

I don't know why you think a hatchery wouldn't send you chicks in time, as you have 3 weeks to get chicks?
Even if you needed them in 3 days, you might be able to get them.

The price thing, I get. But you want something very specific, that it sounds like is not locally available to you right now.

If you happen to know somebody else who wants to order chicks this month, perhaps you could split the order.
