Where to put Feed and Water.

I keep the food and water just in the coop. They go in and out all day eating and drinking. The only thing I feed outside is scratch and treats.

I keep feed & water in the coop and a 2nd waterer out in the run in the shade.

I keep the food and water inside. Its hot here but they come and go inside the coop whenever they want to. It's just easier that way. My water is on a homemade shelf and the food hangs from a chain from the rafter.

I keep feed and water in the run only. I have never seen my chicks in the coop during the day. They go under it alot but never in it.

I put the water in the coop in the winter and outside in the summer. I free range my chickens and spread a little bit of the pellets in the run, but leave the feed in the coop. It is usually 35-50 degrees outside between march and october so having the feed inside lets them get a bite in the morning without leaving their warm coop.
