Which Are Good Egg Layers White Chickens

You cannot beat a white leghorn for laying, period. They produce more eggs for less feed than any other breed, period. They are white eggs and taste the same as others.

Large Fowl Light Brahma. She has been a great winter layer. I chose her because of winter laying and cold hardy. She also has a great personality and calm with my kids.

I agree!!!

If someone told me today that I have to cut back to a few breeds..................

I would pick my light brahma!!!!!!!!!, my sussex and my blue andalusians

So, i suggest light brahmas or light sussex...

Also, they are excellent foragers!

Do all hens go broody,is that how hens are? Or can I get some hens that do not go broody, and if so is it healthy

She is lays pretty steady but with the cold weather and she's getting older I'm only getting about 4-5 eggs from her right now a week. When she first started laying she was laying everyday.

Some breeds are more broody than others. My BO is the only one of my large hens that has gone broody. Oh and she is also quieter than my RIR's.
