At the end of the day it doesn't matter, you'll be happy with either. My personal preferences would be for the Ameraucana for the colored eggs and to avoid the feathered legs. I don't know what your preferences are, they are what's important. In either case you should get a color/pattern that is different form your others.

Feathered legs are fine where I am and so are Clean. I love both breeds so much, the eggs from Ameraucanas and the cute face of salmon favarolles. I don't have either colors in my flock no black, no blue, no splash, no salmon. That's why it is SO hard to chose. I love the features of both. I have a EE but always wanted a true ameraucana but ugh it's so hard to decide

Faverolles hands down.
I've had both.
I've got Faverolles and favacaunas now.
The mix took a lot of the flighty silliness out and made for a more relaxed colored layer but a little is still there.
I actually have a Faverolles from Myers, she's tiny but one of my absolute favorites.

Also do favarolles actually lay pink eggs? I have heard that they do. If you have one can you post pics of the eggs

Pinkish yes, sometimes they'll be almost opalescent.
I'll post my egg haul this afternoon.
I normally have extras in the house but I've got brama chicks that are eating up my egg reserves.

Also do favarolles actually lay pink eggs? I have heard that they do. If you have one can you post pics of the eggs

I spent some time with my ladies this morning with your situation in mind. You are like me in regard to having rare and different colored birds. my Salmon Fav and Amacau are 15 weeks old, and that adorable Salmon Fav just cracks me up, she literally skips around. Her coloring is stunning.

Tomorrow I will get my 6 week pullets from MPC. I will get a speckled sussex and the blue laced red Wyandotte with the replacement of the EE that was supposed to be a pullet. I, like you will be at my limit. I'm not meaning to rain on your parade, but things do happen and yes more loss in shipping the day old babies. Tis, the reason I am spending the extra for pullets. get them both and another for good measure. They will be going a long distance somewhat like the distance from Ohio to Idaho

I got my 6 week old pullets from MPC back in March (2nd time I've ordered from them) I got a bbs ameraucana, favaucana, and FBCM. They accidentally sent me a 4th pullet that ended up being a blrw and stunning ! My bbs ameraucana ended up being a cockerel so I got my money back and it ended well! In my opinion they have gorgeous birds! And I am in love with my favaucana, what a sweet and goofy personality

Do you think many will die on the way if so I would buy both. I am always wanted rare breeds and variety of colors

Faverolles! I thought the pink eggs wouldn't actually be pink, but when mine started laying I was pleasantly surprised. Next to my tan and brown eggs they are definitely a pretty light peachy pink.
